My Own Private Purgatory
Week 3: Audible Torture by Owain Davies
I met with Kate before Mondays session to discuss my sound ideas and to play her the first take of the opening soundscape, which went down awfully! So I then went over a set it playing as the rest of the group were entering rehearsals, forcing them to endure it too the bitter end, and Im glad to say they hated it! So its all thumbs down for that thank goodness! Although it did seem to send the group down a slightly weird path of creativity (although to be honest, weve been like this for a fair few years now). asked what they wanted I received answers like feathers, live animals, red contacts lenses and what had to be the weirdest request of the night I JUST WANT A GIANT GOLDEN HORSE, nothing else. Overall everybody seemed happy with their roles, and the production team grew with the addition of two Wardrobe Mistresses and a Make-up Artist. I’ve yet to see a certain cast members designs for a torture device he will ultimately have to endure, but that should be interesting to say the least!
